Nurtured in Auroville
PROGRESS is a unit of Auroville founded in 2000.
Its core activities are landscaping and related services that include interior design, ecological restoration, boutique buildings, horticulture and outdoor garden products.
It has executed projects across south India ranging from private homes to institutions and large business houses. It has a well-stocked nursery of plants and a network of reliable suppliers of critical resources needed for various outdoor projects. In addition, it designs and produces bespoke garden and outdoor products at its own studio – stone works.
Progress has a diverse team of people consisting of artisans, designers, engineers and horticulture experts. All of these unite their diverse talents in the service of nature.
Environmentally minded
At Progress sustainability is as much a virtue as is the creation of beauty and a job well done.
As a unit of Auroville and the specific ideals it stands for, Progress is environmentally conscious. Every project is weighed both for its feasibility and footprints. Careful thought goes into the selection of plants, materials and natural resources. Great pains are taken to reduce waste and pollution at every point of a project.
Innovation friendly
India has changed much since Progress began its operations many years ago.
A very demanding and environmentally aware clientele drives the market today. Conservation and climate change are now a regular part of the conversation.
At progress these are opportunities for innovation – in approach, materials and implementation. Recently it has added a research hub and enterprise incubator to its activities in order to better serve clients through expanding its own knowledge base and skills that always seeks to put nature first.
